Every mentor has a unique story to tell, a unique perspective to share, and a unique passion that sets them apart as not only mentors or marketers — but as wonderful human beings. I am so excited to share another one with you all.
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Siona, and I’ve spent years struggling to learn marketing tricks that never worked for my business or my clients until I burned out so badly. I ended up not being able to think straight.
After that experience, I realised no amount of business success is worth my physical or mental health. There had to be a way to build a profitable business without killing myself in the process.
So I set about finding it.
What is your marketing career journey?
I started investigating what skills I needed to learn and worked with several clients on improving their skills as well.
After working with a lot of different clients within my online business, I helped build a marketing department within two companies. After a few twists and turns, I am now back in teaching skills to others online.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I live a pretty simple life: I spend time with my family, I read a lot of books each year, and I like to enjoy nature, and travel.
Who are the people that inspire you the most?
There are a lot of people who inspire me or have inspired me in the past. But I have the most respect for people who show up every day and try to do life well.
Do you have any tips for fresh marketers?
Yes! So many tips, but a big one is to enjoy growing and evolving.
There is so much joy in learning. When you start, you can't know it all. In fact, you really can't and simply don't have to.
Just stay open to learning new things, be creative, and add to the list of things you’ve learned as you are on your journey.
